Abstract


ABSTRACT
Special credit to the merchant market has a wide range of offers with various differences in term of transaction services, interest rates, ease of procedure in the transaction, the distance / location, or the possibility of getting of Business. With the variety of factors differences offered by the providers of funds, will affect the traders in the decision to choose a credit provider.
By knowing the factors that affect the decision making by merchants for credit retrieval, it will make it easier for government agencies or formal institutions bidder credit (banks, cooperatives) to be able to help provide services to the merchant so as to avoid the snare of the loan sharks that can be detrimental.
This study sampled a number of 95 traders there are some traditional markets in Sleman (Gentan market, Kebon Agung, Tempel, and Potro Jayan). By using qualitative analysis and statistical tests Chi-squared (α = 5%), it is known that, (1) There is a significant relationship between the decision-making considerations of funding sources;(2) There is a significant relationship between the consideration of the interest rate decision. It is also known that, most traders are already thinking rationally to choose a cheap source of funding, ie with more utilize funding from banks (42%), then the formal non-bank institutions (38%), and the latter as an option is the funding source for the individuals or informal moneylenders (20%). Based on the interest rate, about 80% of respondents already use low-interest from funding sources.
