Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine whether the defective product at its brick "UD Lestari" Yogyakarta is still within control limits and whether the factors that cause damage to the company's product blocks " UD Lestari" Yogyakarta.
The collection of data using observation and interview techniques. Data analysis technique used is the control chart for attributes or "P-Chart" by calculating the mean of the damage (P), calculate the standard deviation (Sp) and the quality standards set limits (UCL / Upper Control Limit and LCL / Lower Control Limit).Results from analysis of data about the quality control carried out by the brick company "UD Lestari”, that the implementation of quality control in the company's brick "UD Lestari"is not good, so that the resulting product can not meet the quality standards set by the company, ie of 4.50%. Although the difference in the average percentage of damage to brick against the standards set by smaller companies, which in 2009 amounted to 0.5%, amounting to 0.32% in 2010 and in 2011 for 0.49%. Damage that occurs in the final product is also caused by a lack of rigor and discipline workers who handle the production process
